Loving someone that has a problem with alcohol and/or drugs is not easy. Despite how worried you are about them, it feels like nothing you do gets through to them. You did not cause the problem with alcohol and/or drugs, and the good news is that there is an effective program that gives you the skills you need to help your loved one enter treatment and also helps you to feel better and more like yourself again.
CRAFT is an evidence-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, meaning that multiple research studies have shown that participants in the program experience positive changes. This program is designed for you to most effectively help your family member seek substance use treatment. Compared to Al-Anon and other 12-step programs, CRAFT is 2-3 times more effective at getting loved ones into treatment. Additionally, individuals in CRAFT report feeling better and experiencing improved relationships by the end of the program.
